Brexit features heavily across all of this morning's papers as Theresa May has called off her Dublin visit in an attempt to stave off a motion of no confidence. In an address outside Downing Street this morning Mrs May said she will contest the vote with "everything I have got".

In more Brexit news the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) says the economy will continue to grow next year, even in the event of a no-deal Brexit. However, such an outcome would cost at least €4bn in lost output compared with the orderly Brexit envisaged by the Withdrawal Agreement.

Ireland has been ranked worst in Europe on climate action by UN experts for a second year in a row. Some Irish moves were praised in the Climate Change Performance Index, launched at the UN Climate Conference in Katowice, Poland – but the country is still named as the worst performing country in Europe for action on climate change.

The Irish Times reports that more than 40,000 nurses are expected to back industrial action in a ballot after rejecting a €20m government pay offer. Ballots of members of the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) and Psychiatric Nurses Association (PNA) are due to end this week and some sources are predicting an overwhelming vote in favour of strikes.

RTE overs the Abortion Bill reporting that the Committee Stage consideration of the Regulation of Termination of Pregnancy Bill ended this morning in the Seanad. It follows two days examination of amendments by senators. The Bill will move to report stage tomorrow.
