Good morning everyone,

As a new week begins many news outlets report that school secretaries represented by Fórsa are to take industrial action from September 20th, following overwhelming support in the recent ballot. The news is reported in the Irish Times, Irish Examiner and Irish Independent, as well as a wide range of regional titles.

The union staged rallies on Saturday at the Department's offices in Dublin and Athlone, and at Minister Joe McHugh's constituency office in Donegal.

The Donegal Daily has a photo gallery dedicated to the rally, and theJournal.ie reported yesterday that many school secretaries have contacted the Department of Education to raise concerns about schools not implementing scheduled pay increases, and lists the upcoming industrial action among its stories of the day.
