Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think

Ryanair's four-year pay deal features this morning with coverage on RTE and The Times. The Fórsa negotiated deal will see Covid-related pay cuts restored and a programme of pay increases implemented.

 

Bus drivers at Go Ahead Ireland, which operates 30 routes across Dublin, are to be balloted for industrial action from today. SIPTU is looking for a pay increase for it's members to offset the cost of living crisis.

 

Thousands of nurses are on strike across Northern Ireland again today in a continuing protest about pay and conditions. Read more on that here. 

 

ICTU has announced that Gerry Murphy has been appointed to succeed Owen Reidy as the leading representative for the trade union movement in Northern Ireland. Congratulations to him. 

 

The Minister for Children has said he is taking seriously concerns raised by the Irish Refugee Council about child safety in the Citywest processing facility for refugees.
