Dear colleague,

The Labour Court has issued its supplementary Recommendation LCR20786(b) on our dispute.

You can read a copy of the recommendation here. Unfortunately, the news is not good. The branch committee and I believe that the recommendation does nothing to advance the issues that were at the heart of our dispute.  It is our assessment that the recommendation actually worsens the position that we achieved last June.

The branch committee will meet tomorrow (Friday 20th March) to consider our next steps. Our preliminary view is that this recommendation is entirely unacceptable and is not a basis for resolving our dispute with Aer Lingus.

We will be convening a general meeting of the branch shortly in order to discuss the implications of this recommendation and to decide on the best way forward.
