Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe has announced that public service workers who were rehired for one year after their retirement will not be allowed remain in work until the age of 70. The announcement follows the law changing late last year to allow public servants approaching the previous mandatory retirement age now, to remain at work until the age of 70.
The 'Raise the Roof' campaign has launched a petition calling for a right to housing to be enshrined in the Constitution.
