Good morning all,

Thanks to Pancake Tuesday I learnt of the existence of a pancake tortoise called Syrup (far right on the featured image) who celebrated his first birthday yesterday, with his siblings Banana, Peanut, Piccolo and Prairie. 

Keepers at this English safari also celebrated the success of their pancake tortoise breeding programme after five of the critically endangered baby pancake tortoises were born at the safari park in the last year.
