This week is your last chance to urge councillors and candidates to stand up for local democracy and community services before the local elections this Friday (24th May).

Thousands of Fórsa members have responded to our ‘More Power To You Campaign’ by calling on candidates and public representatives to sign the union’s Local Power Pledge, and urging them to re-establish the role of local government in areas like housing, water, waste and environmental protection.

We need your support in the final week of local election campaigning. You can help by:

1. Raising the More Power To You Campaign with your local candidates (you can find your local candidates HERE) and ask them if they’ve signed the Local Power Pledge
2. Raising the More Power To You Campaign with canvassers who knock on your door in the final week
3. Check which candidates have signed the pledge before casting your vote on Friday 24th May. We’ll be publishing the final list on the Fórsa website this Wednesday
