This year’s Environmental photographer of the year competition showcases some of the most striking images of the natural world.

The winner of the ‘Vision of the future’ category shows officers maintaining vegetable crops in a warehouse at Sentra farm in West Java, Indonesia. The advantage of vertical farming, which was developed in the past year, is that it is free of pesticides with a harvest period of only 30 days.
