The Cabinet is expected to approve legislation today from to introduce protest-free 'buffer zones' around healthcare services providing termination of pregnancy services.

 

A new study by Dublin City University, with the support of the Irish aviation industry, has shown the sector needs to become more inclusive, with women and ethnic minorities underrepresented in numerous areas. Read more on that here.

 

The Minister for will today bring proposals to Cabinet for an independent external review into governance and culture at RTÉ. Meanwhile, the Irish Congress of Trade Unions has expressed grave concern at the ongoing crisis and called on the board of the public service broadcaster to make the restoration of public trust a key priority.

 

Labour Court talks on the retained firefighters dispute concluded yesterday with what were described as ‘major divisions remaining between both sides’.

 

And finally, Iceland staff are staging a sit-in at the Talbot Street shop as pay concerns mount following the store's abrupt closure.
