Brexit blow
by Hazel Gavigan

In a major knock to the British prime minister, Brexit secretary David Davis has resigned along with junior Brexit minister Steve Baker. Theresa May is due to update the House of Commons this afternoon on the Brexit strategy agreed by the cabinet at Chequers last Friday.

A mother-of-three has died after she and her partner were exposed to Novichok in Amesbury, the same nerve agent from the Sergei and Yulia Skripal case in March. Meanwhile, the next phase of the rescue operation to save a trapped football team in a Thai cave is set to recommence today after four of the thirteen boys were rescued yesterday.

The Indo reports the planned Ryanair pilot strike on Thursday "looks inevitable" and the Examiner covers that Fianna Fáil have come out against tax cuts and is set to press the Government to spend money on services and alleviating living costs for struggling households instead.

Education minister, Richard Bruton is set to today announce training programmes for hundreds of teachers aimed at preventing suicide and helping teenagers cope with traumatic incidents.

The much loved Michael Bublé opened up about his young son's battle with cancer ahead of his comeback gig in Croke Park last Saturday. I had the pleasure of seeing him a few years ago in the Aviva and at the end of the show, he put down his microphone, took out his earpiece and sang the last verse of 'Feeling Good' completely unaccompanied. Even though we were up in the nosebleeds we could hear him perfectly - amazing! Today's Zen is one of my favourite concert moments when a pushy Mom sends her son up on stage to sing with Bublé. It's honestly worth watching for his reaction alone.
