Fórsa has issued this response to Monday's broadcast of RTÉ Investigates on the problem of unregulated psycohology practises in Ireland.

 

The Irish Times reports that Government is facing mounting pressure over its decision to end the ban on evictions as Sinn Féin signalled plans to force a Dáil vote on the matter after the St Patrick’s Day recess. Meanwhile, work on a referendum on housing has been delayed amid disagreement over recommendations for constitutional reform.

 

A Dublin based mechanical engineering company, HA O’Neil Ltd, has launched a High Court action aimed at preventing its workers who are members of the Unite trade union from engaging in industrial action due to take place this Friday.

 

Free public transport would be “overly costly and incentivise excessive travel” according to an independent report commissioned by the National Transport Authority.

 

Looking ahead, speaking on the Constitutional reference to the role of women in the home, Citizens Assembly chairperson Catherine Day said people want is something that obliges the State to take reasonable measures to support care within the home and the wider community.

 

And finally, AIB has told staff that it intends to introduce healthcare cover and an approved profit-sharing scheme, following the partial lifting last year of restrictions on bankers' remuneration. Read more on that here.
