Fórsa have hit back at Minister of State Anne Rabbitte after she took to Twitter to complain over therapists' return to special schools. The union said that her comments are 'Not entirely helpful' and that an invitation had already been given to her to discuss the issue, an invitation that was declined.

 

Fórsa have demanded  the publication of an internal review into alleged malpractice in An Bord Pleanála. Assistant secretary general Ian McDonald wrote to the chairman of An Bord Pleanála, Dave Walsh, to say that working conditions have become “intolerable” for their members as a result of the ongoing controversy around alleged conflicts of interest at the board. Yesterday, Dave Walsh announced his retirement citing 'personal and family reasons'.

 

The domestic violence survey closes at midday today. The purpose of this study is to garner a better understanding of domestic abuse amongst the union membership.
