… No sex, no drugs, no wine, no women
No fun, no sin, no you, no wonder it’s dark

… Everyone around me is a total stranger
Everyone avoids me like a psyched Lone Ranger
      Everyone…

      Heh heh. What a tune.

In all seriousness though, it looks like they have no effin clue why their cases have dropped so suddenly.

    And Even More Meanwhile…

Prince not-so-bonnie-Charlie declares war on climate catastrophe…

I suspect that will go about as successful as the other war-on-things/nouns/abstract concepts…

      Why tax them?
That would take a very long time.
They would deliberately make it too expensive.

      I can’t see it working..

Just cull the b*stards and divvy up the dividends.
      Starting today.

“Just cull the b*stards and divvy up the dividends” funnily enough, I think that’s the agenda title for the coming Davos Conference in Jan 2022.

    Ominous words from Prince Charles:

    https://twitter.com/disclosetv/status/1455164263836815369

We need a vast military-style campaign to marshal the strength of the global private sector. With trillions at its disposal, far beyond global GDP and – with the greatest respect – beyond even the governments of the world’s leaders, it offers the only real prospect of achieving fundamental economic transition

What he’s describing is the route to a global corporate tyranny. The complete subjugation of the democratic system – sold to the masses as a supposed ‘sustainable future’ (that will somehow incorporate exponential energy use by massive data centres). Charles represents the interests of wealthy elites who are intent on using a crisis to carry out a massive power grab and to consolidate their wealth.

Flawless is saying that Prince Charles wants private corporations to use climate change as an excuse to TAKE OVER THE WORLD. Corporations, of course, use everything as an excuse to do that. I’m more interested in the sources of actual policies and actions to mitigate climate change and tackle the biodiversity crisis. Whatever corporations do, on their own, unregulated, it most certainly won’t be that. Therefore effective action on climate change and biodiversity will of necessity curb predatory and destructive corporate activities, increase democratic participation and put the interests and activities of indigenous communities currently fighting back against government/corporate environmental destruction at the forefront. So, yes, Prince Charles is barking up entirely the wrong tree, probably because as the son of one of the world’s largest landowners, he has more affinity with private unregulated power than with public participation and community stewardship.

“Netflix levy to fund TV production” Meaning RTE. At it again. Stakeholders?? Oireachtas Debate. Cloaked nonsense wrapped in child safety. The failing system of television wants to tax the internet. It’s like the CD guy demanding money from Spotify. Why?? Your not an essential utility like water or electricity. “But our programs provide a valuable service to the community”. You mean to me. But I read Broadsheet. Irish Reddit. Wikipedia. Watch youtube tutorials. Do Zoom calls. Listen to things on Soundcloud. Moan on Twitter. Who are you talking about! “But we want to police the internet like an extra Irish parent”. Oh ok, let me talk first to EFF.org. They stopped the big telcoms turning the internet into a phone box w/ fast and slow lanes. Maintaining the egalitarian, democratic, open system.

End of day. They know if they were honest and went up on the internet like everyone else (equally). No one would subscribe to their platform. No one under 50 at least. Again. It’s not an essential life service like water or electricity. They can’t demand tax or penalize the greatest invention since sliced science to stay afloat.

      @ MountainTalk

I’m probably the only person who read ALL of your post, and I feel more stupid for it.

      Take a rest.
      Go to sleep.

      Wake up tomorrow.

Leo will be happy. Centre state in Europe. Centre stage in my avatar too.

No sign of Varadkar suing Village though. Too late now. The 12 months is up.

No sign of the Criminal investigation being concluded either.

A horrific indictment of where we are as a nation that this is actually a thing.

Can’t afford health insurance? Can’t wait 9 years for a minor procedure? Buy our ‘coins’ which while we are waiting for you to get sick we’ll use to pay ourselves a mint and play the markets. Because somehow, not being able to afford health insurance means you can afford to buy this sneaky way to build up a capital fund and benefit from charity/NP status.

      Sickening concept.

        Hello coco. (ian-oG )
        – stop hanging out with journalists. They make you look ridiculous.
