<title>This weekend: RMA Group Walk at Lough Boora, Sunday 7th June</title>
<link>https://forsatradeunion.newsweaver.com/singlemessagetest/1l332lfzx10?lang=en&amp;rss=true</link>
<description>Dear members,

This coming Sunday 7th June, the Retired Members' Association (RMA) is holding its first group walking event at Lough Boora Discovery Park, Co. Offaly. The walk will be led by RMA Ambassador Larry Lyons, with the group aiming to set off at approximately 12.30pm. You will be able to find us at the Café in the main carpark which will also be the starting point of our walk.

We've welcomed lots of new members since we first told you about this walk back in March. We are issuing a reminder to give our new members an opportunity to join us on the day and to give our more long standing members another opportunity to come out and hopefully say 'hi' to a few new faces.

Lough Boora is a wonderful location, with flat walking trails, beautiful scenery, lakes, wetlands and a sculpture park. There are also cycling trails available for anyone who would prefer to explore the park by bike. Bicycles can be brought along or hired on site.

The 12.30pm meeting time is simply for those who would like to join the group walk. People are completely free to enjoy the park in whatever way suits them best, whether that means arriving earlier, staying later, walking independently, cycling, or joining us for part of the day only.

Friends and family are very welcome. There is no requirement to register your attendance in advance, simply come along on the day and join whichever walking group best suits your pace and preference.

And, as this is Ireland in the summertime, we'll be going ahead regardless, so don't let the weather put you off. Whether it's sunshine or a passing shower, we're looking forward to a great day out.

You can take a look at what Lough Boora has to offer on their website: https://www.loughboora.com [ https://forsatradeunion.newsweaver.com/singlemessagetest/1lxnc12cp4e/external?lang=en ]

If you're free on the day, we'd love to see you there. If not, don't worry. We hope to be running many more regional activities and initiatives for retired members in the weeks and months ahead, so there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved and meet fellow members.

If you have any questions please contact me at retiredmembers@forsa.ie [ retiredmembers@forsa.ie ].

Kind regards,

Claudia Jennings
Membership Development Officer (Retired Members)
