Ryanair pilots from the union's IALPA branch are holding the third 24-hour stoppage today. The Indo reports that Ryanair have threatened job cuts over staff demands.While cabin crew in  Belgium, Italy, Spain, and Portugal strike over contracts tomorrow and Thursday, leading to 300 flight cancellations each day, as profits fall by 20% in the airline.

 

The disputes committee of Fórsa's Services and Enterprises Division is to meet on Wednesday to consider further industrial action at the airline.

 

Fórsa's head of communications Bernard Harbor will be on Pat Kenny's show this morning, just after 9am and RTE Today with Miriam O'Callaghan after 10am.

Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy was unexpectedly challenged by Government and party colleague as he launched a major housing project in Dublin yesterday.

The NBRU has called on the Transport Minister to ramp up security following a serious assault on a staff member at Connolly Station over the weekend.
