Limerick woman Vicky Phelan features heavily as she was presented with an honorary doctorate from UL yesterday (pictured above.) Ms Phelan received a false negative test after she went for a cervical smear in 2011 and is now terminal. She plans to fund a cancer care worker as a "goodwill gesture" after she received a €2.5 million settlement over her misdiagnosis.
