The Irish Times also wrote an interesting article on female membership of trade unions. A survey conducted in UCD found that Trade union membership is “increasingly becoming a female phenomenon” in Ireland.
Thousands took to the streets in Ireland after inflation surged to its highest level since the 1980s, prompting cost of living protests in cities across the country. The #CostofLivingDemo took place on Saturday and demanded that the government take real action in the coming weeks.
