Good Morning Colleagues

The snow occupies most of today's front pages.

Many outlets have published material regarding employees' rights on snow days.

Here's the Independent's take

And here is what the Sun says.

Minister Simon Harris has tweeted to say that HSE staff who are unable to get to work due to the red weather warning will not have to make up the time and will be paid. He also said that the efforts of those who are working will be acknowledged. Read more about that here.

Many public servants will continue to work and to provide essential, life-saving, services throughout the worst of the weather. For example, the Journal has an article about the fire and ambulance services. You can read that here.

The Journal also reports that thirty people slept on the streets of Dublin last night, where temperatures dipped to -5 degrees.

Your zen is courtesy of the Irish Times - the best Netflix and TV programmes to watch when snowed in.

Finally, Fórsa members should keep an eye on our news microsite for updates. That's here
