Employers will have to reveal gender pay gaps under new legislation. The bill is due to come before Cabinet later this month and the legislation should be before the Houses later this year.

 

Today's Irish Times report by industrial correspondent Martin Wall reports that Siptu has warned of a 'immenent' national strike in State-funded health services. The dispute centres on the lack of pay restoration for staff in Section 39 bodies. Fórsa issued a special news bulletin on Section 39 bodies last Thursday.

 

Paschal Donohoe is expected to tell Fianna Fáil that at least €800 million it had understood would be available will now not be included in the calculations for next year’s budget, the final of the confidence and supply deal.

 

The Government has announced it is to launch a public awareness campaign on false self-employment.
