On Friday Fórsa announced the result of the SNA pay ballot, a story picked up by the Irish Independent.

Elsewhere, Clare County Council considers the four day week, the Business Post yesterday went large again on those leaked 'health tapes': "Recruitment targets are “batshit”," and Labour backs the union call for inflation-proofed pay measures.

"The bill in its current form looked like a right to refuse remote working rather than a right to request it. We don’t see how it’s to anybody’s advantage to race back to the workplace and lose all of the benefits of remote working that we discovered accidentally during Covid-19” - that's the view shared by Bernard Harbor with Michael Brennan in a news focus piece on the Tánaiste's proposed ‘right to refuse’ remote working bill. Brennan canvasses opinion from unions and employers on the issue.

Meanwhile, the Ivy restaurant in Dublin has been ordered to pay almost €10,000 in compensation to two former waitresses after the Labour Court ruled they had been unfairly dismissed from their jobs because of their trade union activities.

Have a great week.
