Dear Member,

The industrial action, in the form of a work to rule, remains scheduled to commence on Monday 31st March at normal starting time for all Fórsa members employed by the HSE and HSE funded hospitals.

While the 5 unions in dispute - Fórsa, INMO, Connect, MLSA and Unite - attended the WRC for talks with HSE management yesterday, no agreement was reached and talks adjourned. We have been invited to re-convene at the WRC at 9am tomorrow (Saturday 29th March) and will provide updates to members throughout the weekend.

It is important to set out at this juncture, so that members are in no doubt about the significant issues at play, that the conciliation process is confidential to the parties in dispute. Despite this a management side document provided at approximately 6pm yesterday evening has been widely reported on in the media today.

The Union side responded with a revised document at approximately 9.30pm setting out a series of reasonable proposals that we believe will resolve this dispute. The HSE is currently considering this document. It is our hope that they give this document meaningful consideration.

It is important that members look to email updates such as this and the dispute hub on forsa.ie for the official union position and not rely solely on brief media reports in relation to the dispute.
