Good morning
Today's news is...............
by Patricia Callinan

Here's a look at some of today's front page stories.

Both RTE and Irish Times report  that Fórsa's lead organiser Joe O'Connor will address the Oireachtas Committee on Budgetary Oversight this afternoon to argue that current arrangements for members' subscriptions discriminate against PAYE workers.

Fórsa has suspended its proposed industrial action at Sunbeam House following Management's agreement to a number of measures to expedite pay restoration at the Wicklow disability service providers.

In Australia, the gig economy is winding back workers' rights by 100 years, according to the ACTU boss, Sally McManus.  McManus has also called for a return to industry-level bargaining to help unions win pay rises and organise workers in industries such as childcare.
