Aer Lingus will this morning give Fórsa and other unions further details of its plans for job losses and changes to working conditions. The Indo reports that various bidders are eyeing up the airline's regional services.

 

All the main titles report that 2020's leaving cert exams are to be scrapped, with students having to opt-in to exams if they're dissatisfied with the predictive grades they're awarded.

 

The State "takeover" of private hospitals is to be reviewed at the end of the month according to the Times, where Harry McGee says the HSE has found roles for just 603 of 73,000 "call for Ireland" respondents and Cliff Taylor explores the Government's options on extending/ending Covid-related income supports.

 

Elsewhere, Government proposals to ease essential health workers' childcare problems have run into more bother.

 

Meanwhile, the Examiner's Daniel McConnell is still heaping doubt on payment of the final phase of the PSSA come October, prompting a robust defence of public servants from Labour.

 

And public-private partnerships are back centre-stage in Dublin City Council's housing strategy.
