Amidst the clamour of hysteria and commentary on all the ways the Coronavirus (Covid-19) might affect public health, public gatherings, the economy and the rugby, this quote jumped out at me yesterday from the Indo: '"Even the public sector pay deal could face a big challenge," one political source said.' 

Politics aside, it looks set to dominate the news cycle in the coming weeks. The Irish Times reports this morning that public health officials are expected to decide today on restrictions that will apply to mass gatherings.
