The Government may have as much as €1.3 billion for tax cuts and spending increases in the upcoming budget, somewhat more than previously thought according to this article in the Irish Times.

 

Meanwhile the General Secretary of the AHCPS says the civil service is on the brink of 'retirement cliff' because more than a third of senior staff are set to retire within the next five to ten years.
