Good Morning

Here's the news:

Staff working for State-funded voluntary organisations or Section 39 bodies, which provide health and social services are to receive pay restoration under a deal agreed on Tuesday night.

The Irish Times reports shortcomings in the healthcare data system used for health planning, delivery and funding have been identified in a Hiqa report.

Minimum wage workers are more likely to progress to higher pay, according to a new report by the ESRI. You can find the press release accompanying the report here.

The Examiner reports that a restriction on the use of religion in enrolment procedures could require schools to amend policies for entry applications next year. The restriction is one of several aspects of the Education (Admissions to Schools) Act 2018 that became law in July, which come into effect from today.

Finally, today is recently departed Fleetwood Mac member Lindsey Buckingham's birthday, so the zen is a (slightly obvious) Fleetwood Mac classic, from their hugely successful 1977 album Rumours.
