Fórsa members in the community and voluntary sector will join Siptu and INMO members in a national day of protest today, in response to what the unions describe as the “neglect and underfunding” of community sector services. RTE, Red FM and Highland radio cover the story this morning. 

 

The United States Supreme Court has voted to strike down the constitutional right of a woman to obtain an abortion, according to a leaked draft opinion published by media in America on Monday night. Read more on that here. 

 

The Indo looks at inflation this morning, saying “the threat of mass industrial action is mounting as the cost-of-living crunch triggers wage demands”.

 

Meanwhile, the social wage in Ireland is "exceptionally low by EU standards," according to a report published by the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU) to mark International Workers' Day. Read more on that here.

 

Sixty complaints of bullying, harassment and sexual harassment have been made by civil servants in Government departments over the last three years, according to a new report.
