With retail, some bars and restaurants set to open this week, the health minister says the State’s response to Covid-19 is entering “uncharted territory” over Christmas, with the risk that cases could grow rapidly. It’s by no means a festive message, but the virus itself probably has no plans to take a break.

So let’s be careful out there, and be nice to retail and hospitality staff.
