News of an agreed proposal for the PSSA successor received wide media coverage on Friday morning, as details of Building Momentum: A New Public Sector Agreement emerged on our website. A fresh FAQ document was uploaded this morning and is available here

Kevin Callinan is quoted in this Irish Times piece, saying that a significant focus of the new agreement is on the lower paid in the public service, while Ingrid Miley reported a broad welcome for the deal. Martin Wall and Anne-Marie Walsh gave their analyses, breaking down the details in the Irish Times and Indo, respectively.

Commentary was decidedly light over the weekend, with just the Sunday Business Post covering the deal yesterday - that's available to read upon request. The NEC will meet tomorrow to consider the proposed deal in detail.

In aviation, Emirates has declined an invitation to attend the WRC for conciliation talks regarding its ongoing redundancy programme at Dublin Airport.

Elsewhere, planned industrial action by Fórsa and Siptu members in Kerry and Cork this week has been suspended after a breakthrough was made in a pay dispute with workers in the out-of-hours GP service, SouthDoc.

It has emerged that developers are using a loophole which allows them to lease out properties instead of providing permanent social housing, and the housing minister has said he has no plans to close it.

Meanwhile, in India, police have arrested more than 100 workers who went on a rampage over claims of unpaid wages at a Taiwanese-run iPhone factory near Bangalore. Footage on social media showed smashed CCTV cameras and glass panels, broken lights and a car set on fire.

And finally, today's Zen features CCTV footage captured in Ukraine last week which should hopefully give you a giggle, as people struggle to walk downhill due to ice covering the street in the city centre.

Have a great week, folks.
