People on the Pandemic Unemployment Payment who travel to green list countries will continue to receive their payments, Minister for Social Protection Heather Humphreys has said.

 

Taoiseach Micheál Martin has confirmed that the planned €20 million cut to disability services that was announced last January will now not go ahead and that the adult day services will gradually resume during August.


A national protest which was scheduled to take place this Saturday by former Debenhams workers has been postponed to allow for settlement talks to take place. The workers have been protesting and campaigning for over 17 weeks now for a fair redundancy settlement.

 

More than 5,000 children are waiting longer than the law permits to have needs such as autism formally assessed before they can access public health services, figures released by the Health Service Executive show. The average waiting time was 19 months, despite a legal requirement for the assessment to be completed within six months.

NUI Galway has confirmed it was one of more than 20 institutions across the world affected by hackers attacking a cloud provider. The university said it understood that “names, telephone numbers and email addresses” in its alumni database were targeted in the recent hack.
