Don't push me 'cause I'm close to the edge.

The final two blogs of our International Women's Day series were published on Friday and Saturday. Check out Hazel Gavigan's I don't want to be a strong woman and the disproportionate effect of Covid-19 on women by Roisin McKane. Elsewhere on the website Andy Pike reports progress in WRC talks on the future of school secretaries and caretakers.

The Business Post yesterday was dominated by a mixture of Davy analysis and the various challenges (they are legion) to vaccine rollout targets. The paper's front page included a report that antigen testing will be limited to controlling workplace outbreaks and a number of pilot projects.

Also featuring in the Post was quite a bit of coverage on new climate legislation, with disturbing news that power-hungry data centres may choke Dublin's energy supplies. Elsewhere, healthcare has become the latest playground of the gig economy.

In the Irish edition of The Times today Lorna Siggins reports that Fórsa and management at the Sea FIsheries Protectiona Authority resumed contact shortly before the weekend to seek a resolution, following the collapse of talks at the WRC last week.

Finally, here's what it says in this morning's papers.

Zen

Your Zen this morning comes from Friday's training session with the branch campaign officers (BCOs) where communications and public affairs specialist Pat Montague kicked out the jams with his rendition of The Message by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. If Pat's version inspires you to turn an ear to the original, our Zen work here is done.

Have a good week, stay safe. Banish the snakes from your life.
