The publication of a new Government ‘Blended Working Policy Statement’ is covered prominently this morning, with features in The Indo, The Times, and RTE. The new plan would see the civil service switch from pandemic-related remote working provisions to long-term ‘blended working’ arrangements between September 2021 and March 2022. Half of Ireland’s tenants spend more than 30% of their take-home pay on rent, while 12% spend more than half their income on keeping a roof over their head, according to new research by the Residential Tenancies Board.

 

IHREC chief has said that too many Traveller families continue to live in ‘appalling conditions’ according to The Times.

 

An audit carried out by the Department of Justice has criticised the States response to domestic violence. Read more on that here. 

 

The Environmental Protection Agency has warned that there is an urgent need to curb nitrogen pollution in Ireland's surface and ground waters, which continue to be under pressure from human activities.
