Blessed are the peacemakers

Good morning folks, 

 

Former first minister of Northern Ireland and Nobel Peace Prize winner David Trimble has been remembered as “a political giant” following the sad news of his death aged 77.

 

President Michael D Higgins has led the tributes, saying Mr Trimble's dedication and courage often during "the most challenging times", has earned him a "distinguished and deserved place in our history books".
