The National Women's Council of Ireland has criticised lack of female representation in the boardroom in their new report which issues today.

 

An internal Garda investigation is underway into more than 3,000 domestic violence 999 calls which were “cancelled” by the force, according to The Times.

The Examiner reports that a plan for a new EU-wide cybersecurity unit has been unveiled in order to get to grips with the burgeoning criminal phenomenon that costs the global economy around €840bn every year.

 

The Dáil's Public Accounts Committee has called on Revenue to commission an independent investigation into the self-employment status of some couriers. Read more on that here.

 

The Indo’s Charlie Weston reports that prices in Ireland for consumer goods and services are the joint second highest in the European Union.

 

And finally, travel agents are being asked to pay “utterly unfair” bond fees to merchant service providers that will render it “impossible” for many in the sector to recover after the pandemic, according to The Times.
