Thousands of students staged a walk-out from lectures yesterday morning in protest against the rising cost of living and its effects on young people. Fórsa stands in solidarity with the USI led student cost of living campaign.

The Irish News reports that Aer Lingus cabin crew members of Fórsa, based in Belfast, are being redeployed to new duties in Belfast and Dublin, due to consequences related to Brexit.

The Journal reports on a study that found that Microsoft avoids paying tax in many countries by using Irish subsidiaries.

And finally, UK postal service Royal Mail has warned that as many as 10,000 jobs are at risk, blaming three days of industrial action on their reported €70 million loss this half.

There is a new arrival at Fota Wildlife Park. In a first for Ireland a baby Indian rhino has been born to mother, Maya and father, Jamil. The yet unnamed male calf was born on September 19 and is the second of only three Indian rhino calves born in any zoological institution this year.  You can check him out here.
