Groups representing trade unions and employers will address the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Enterprise, Trade and Employment later today on new remote working legislation. The Indo also covers the joint trade union submission. Meanwhile, IBEC says the law the right to request remote working is ‘premature’.

 

The Times reports that the HSE expects to recruit only half the extra staff for which it has funding this year, due to recruitment difficulties.

Government officials are making preparations to accommodate thousands of Ukrainian refugees here as the Russian assault intensifies and hundreds of thousands of people flee the country.

 

A referendum on housing could be held as early as next year after a new group was set up to examine the constitutional issues and report back to Government.

 

And finally. The Indo reports that a rise in wages at the end of last year was nowhere near enough to keep up with sharper rising household bills.
