The waiting game

The Stobart Group has said that selling Dublin-based Stobart Air quickly remains a priority. The Aer Lingus Regional operator and a related leasing firm, Propius, have used almost €16.6 million in cash since they were reacquired by the UK’s Stobart Group in April.

 

Meanwhile, the STOP67 coalition has said it is disappointed at the composition of the Pension Commission. In a statement, the group said it believes the Government did not appoint enough members who reflect the interests of those most affected by the proposed pension age increase and in particular organisations representing women and older people.

 

An Irish consultancy firm has found remote working to be a huge success and measured an increase in productivity of 15%, matched by a recent staff survey where 90% of people said that their wellbeing and work/life balance was better. Its managing director, who specialises in the area, has a few tips.

 

In a disappointing result, America's gig-economy has been boosted as voters in California overwhelmingly backed a ballot proposition to exempt ride-share companies Uber and Lyft from a state law requiring drivers to be treated as employees.
