The front pages are a mixed bag this morning. The Irish Times reports today that the Government has confirmed it is in talks with unions about the potential of local bargaining arrangements to address particular issues in different parts of the public service. The report by Martin Wall says these arrangements would then form part of a new overall public sector pay deal.

 

On Saturday Fórsa hosted its inaugural Traveller Equality Network event in Sligo. Richy Carrothers spoke to Ocean FM about incidences of members of the travelling community in the North West being paid half the minimum wage in semi-state organisations.

 

Elsewhere, Peter Nolan spoke to the Irish Independent about ongoing talks with Irish Water as the utility is once again in the spotlight due to the ongoing boil water notice for 600,000 households in North Dublin and Fingal.
