The RTÉ pay scandal continues to dominate headlines this morning. Minister for Media Catherine Martin said there are no proposals for staff redundancies or selling assets at RTÉ, a spokesman said as a TD denied the Government could be seeking “revenge” on the broadcaster.

 

There is a growing expectation that the Government will breach its own budget spending rules for the second year running, with Coalition figures of the view that it is “unrealistic” to deliver a budget that limits growth in core spending to 5 per cent. Read more on that here.

 

And finally, Irish tech company Intercom is facing employee unrest after a new policy the company claims has been in place since last year called a halt to its support for Pride celebrations.
