A one day strike by community employment supervisors and assistant supervisors, plus protest rallies took place yesterday over pensions. The workers involved are represented by Fórsa and Siptu unions. We got coverage in the Examiner, RTE, Irish Times, The Galway Daily, Kfm, and the Echo Live, to name a few.

 

Employers are getting away with maintaining low pay and insecure jobs because welfare payments buffer workers from the worst effects, a report by TASC, the Think Tank for Action on Social Change claims. The Times also covers the report.

 

Dublin has been ranked 19th out of the top 30 cities in the world as an environment for the technology sector, boosted by access to so-called co-working spaces, writes Ellie Donnelly in the Indo.
