All you need to know about the new testing regime for travellers arriving in Ireland

From the early hours of Friday morning, all passengers coming into the State will be required to present a negative Covid-19 test. The measures will to be reviewed in two weeks and are being put in place due to fears over the Omicron variant .

Last Friday, Government moved to put in place travel restrictions for people coming back from southern African countries; but after new health advice, there will now be further restrictions.
