The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) will begin balloting for strike action today in the ongoing dispute over pay. The ballot will run until December 13th and if passed could see nurses engage in a number of 24-hour stoppages. A separate ballot of members of the Psychiatric Nurses Association (PNA) for strike action over pay will get under way on Wednesday.
The Irish National Teachers’ Organisation (INTO) is set to vote on who will be its new general secretary, with a result set to be announced on December 18.
