The Irish Examiner continues its excellent coverage of the challenges facing community and voluntary organisations ahead of next week's strike action. In Saturday's edition Mick Clifford takes a look at the level and depth of services provided by the sector, and continues that analysis in today's edition.

In its pre-Budget coverage, the Irish times gets the perspective of a renter, a landlord, a teacher, a childcare provider and others. In other news, parents are paying €54m a year to plug the gap in primary school finances, and Women's Aid report that more than 40% of young women subjected to abuse by a partner or ex-partner have had suicidal thoughts and a fifth have attempted suicide.

Zen

For your Zen this morning I offer you an in-depth interview with Dolly Parton. At 77 years of age she's about to release her 49th album, Rockstar, which features collaborations with everyone from Paul McArtney to Stevie Nicks and Lizzo. I haven't even read it yet but I'm eager to find out more.

Have a great week.
