The Minister for Education has said the fund management company which holds the contract to build a number of Irish schools will be in a position to appoint a new contractor within two weeks.

 

The Irish economy is not yet overheating, but the Government should avoid unnecessary spending in this year’s budget, according to the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council.

 

Irish Tech News tell us that 65% of taxpayers favour the introduction of new taxes, but only for the rich.  Up to 126,000 people who live alone are to get an allowance to help with the cost of installing a burglar alarm. This initiative is to help prevent social isolation.
