The Leinster Express has written about Fórsa's first Divisonal Conference this year which is taking place in Portlaoise on the 13th and 14th of April. Some of the highlighgts will include:

  • Fórsa general secretary and ICTU president Kevin Callinan's address to conference at 12.15 on Thursday (13th). 
  • A panel discussion on establishing better progression for students with additional needs will take place on Friday (14th).
  • Calls for clarity on how children with additional needs can access SNA support and a call for an end to chaotic policy-making by Government.

The Irish Times Trust has announced the appointment of Bernard Harbor, former Fórsa Head of Communications, to The Irish Times Trust CLG.

Protesters angry at French President Emmanuel Macron’s pension reforms have continued with scattered actions amid slowed train traffic, rows of lorries blocking access to Marseille’s commercial port and debris still littering the Paris streets after the previous day’s mass demonstrations.

 

Sallyanne Brady, who lost her mother to suicide during early menopause, used the National Menopause Summit to demand greater supports for menopausal women battling depression. The summit was held at Dublin's Mansion House with MC Grainne Seoige and speakers such as the UK's Davina McCall.
