TONIGHT

Further outbreaks of rain and drizzle tonight. Areas of mist and fog also. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees generally, but 2 to 6 degrees in the southwest where some clear spells will develop. Winds will be light and southwest to west or variable in direction.

TOMORROW - Saturday 4th May

Saturday will be another mostly cloudy and misty day with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, most persistent across the north and east. Brighter sunnier breaks in the southwest will edge slowly northwards during the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees with a light southwest to west breeze.

National Outlook

SUMMARY: It's likely to become drier generally on Sunday and Monday with a mix of cloud and some warm sunshine, though with some showers too. A further improvement through next week with high pressure bringing mostly dry settled conditions.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Rain and drizzle will still affect parts of the east and north, while staying drier elsewhere. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 10 degrees, coolest under clearer skies across the southwest of Munster.

SUNDAY: There's likely to be a general improvement on Sunday, with sunshine becoming a little bit more prevalent. There'll still be a scattering of showers too though, with a few heavier ones possible in the east. There's also still a small chance of more persistent rain for a time in parts of the south and east. Highest temperatures of 12 to 17 degrees, all sunshine dependent with mostly light variable breezes.

MONDAY: A bright day overall with some sunny spells, the best of these likely further to the south and west. There'll be lot of dry weather, though there'll be a scattering of showers too, with a few heavier ones possible. Highest temperatures of 13 to 18 degrees, in a light to moderate northerly breeze, with best values further south.
