Ryanair has called on Fórsa to stop Aer Lingus pilot from 'interfering' in talks to avoid more strikes. While Fórsa says only Ryanair staff are on the negotiating team. The Ryanair board is under pressure as profits drop and strike action rumbles on.

 

The Sunday Business Post reported that Ryanair rules out mediator as a fourth strike day looms (pay wall protected - hard copy available in communications unit). While German pilots are expected to announce strike action against Ryanair today.

 

Willie Walsh CEO of British Airways is optimistic over a legal bid to end strike misery caused by French ATC.

 

Moving away from aviation, a HSE report found there are up to 350 vacant consultant posts. While nurses and doctors await commission report on staff pay due over the next few days.

 

Saturday's Journal reports that Siptu has 'expelled hundreds of ESB members' for allegedly transferring from another union.
