Real men don't

Yesterday's Sunday Independent led on an Aer Lingus management claim that its staff are stealing 'many millions' worth of company stock. Fórsa has demanded a meeting, and has advised staff to complain directly to HR.

The union was also quoted in a Sunday Business Post report of a Labour Court warning on public service sick pay, even though we'd told them there was little in it. (There's a pay wall there, but we have a hard copy upstairs). Today's Journal also gives sick leave a run-out, with the emphasis on the department of social protection.

Looming strikes in Sligo and Leitrim Tesco stores could spread nationwide next year according to the Indo, whose John Downing also considers health minister Simon Harris's woes.

Over in the Irish Examiner, Daniel McConnell ponders a cabinet falling-out over directly-elected mayors in Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford.

Zen from down under today, where Senator Sarah Hanson-Young gave sexist parliamentarians a real dressing down recently.

Keep dry.
