Draft legislation on the right to remote working is to come under scrutiny at an Oireachtas committee on Wednesday. The legislation has been described as a “toothless tiger” that's "wreaked angst and confusion among workers", and the Irish Times coverage this morning features comment on the legislation by ICTU's head of social policy Dr Laura Bambrick. In the same paper, the positive remote work dividends for West Cork are plain to see.

John Mercer, CEO of pensions provider Mercer Ireland, writes in today's Indo that pension coverage urgently needs to improve to relieve pressure on the state pension.

In the Dáil last week the question of a planned review of the minimum qualifications for SNAs was raised by Francis Noel Duffy TD. In Saturday's Daily Mirror, Pat Flanagan zeroes in on the pay of the secretary general at the Department of Health, while the SIndo's Fiona Sherlock highlights SIPTU's early years campaign: Early years educators are the superheroes we need to rescue.
