Construction work is due to start this month on a new Rape Crisis Centre to cater for people in County Wexford who have been affected by sexual, domestic or gender-based violence.

The purpose-built centre in Maudlintown, which is expected to be completed by February of next year, will replace the cramped rented premises in Clifford Street where the service is currently operating.
